Well, I got the swine flu....... haha no not really but I AM sick. I had what I thought was a migraine yesterday and had to take a half sick day..... then proceeded to sleep for 5 hours in the middle of the day.
I thought I felt better today and then I think i got worse..... now I feel all light headed and crappy..... but I have SOOO much to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I came up with only one thing could be wrong with me. SWINE FLU! haha, lets hope that stays far away from Iowa.
One more shower to go and my BACHELORETTE party is this weekend! I am so pumped, I get to see a bunch of friends I rarely see!~ YAY! My awesome sisters are putting it together and it should be A LOT of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANT WAIT!
Other then that just getting some last minute wedding stuff together and hopefully Jake will pitch in a little over the next couple weeks, I NEED him for some stuff!!!!!!!! ahhhhh

Shower Season!
The time has finally come! CRAZY showers! I just had my first big one over the weekend with all the family members (the ones in town anyways) basically my mom and grandma..... and then 15 of Jake's family members. This weekend I am going to my sister, McKenzie's, senior line fashion show at Iowa State on Saturday and then Sunday I have my "grandma" bridal shower, which is both my grandmas, Jake's grandmas and then all of my one grandmas grandmaish friends! haha
Should be interesting and should get a lot of $5 checks.... haha just kidding.
Then the next weekend is my big shower that my maids of honor are throwing (my sisters)..... we are getting pole dancing lessons and riding around in a party bus! Should be really fun and I have some fun friends coming in town! EXCITED! After that all the party stuff will be over...... but the next weekend after that is my sisters graduation from ISU and also Mother's day.
The NEXT weekend after that is my mom's birthday and the last weekend before the wedding! So as you can see I dont have much free time left to get last minute details together. No stress though.... I am trying not to freak myself out!! Lots to do Lots to do.................................. Time to go workout, have to look perfect in my dress (and on the honeymoon... duh!) Ok thats all for now.
PS. Does anyone EVER read this except Mary Cline?

I'm so freakin tired.....
RARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I am so tired! ALL THE TIME! I don't get it! I have been getting plenty of sleep and working out and eating well.... so why do I feel like I could take a couple hour nap at any given moment of the day???? THIS SUCKS!
I havent been feeling like doing ANYTHING lately such as cleaning my house or doing laundry... which I am usually SO good at keeping up on! BUT since Jake has to work late tonight I plan on cleaning up the house and doing all our laundry. fun life. We will have company at our house for wedding showers and my sister's graduation for the next 5 weekends so I am going to have to be a cleaning CRAZY LADY for the next month or so.... but just 36 days and I will be on the beach in Domincan Republic. ahhhhhhh CANNOT WAIT!

Chicago
I finally got to make my trip to Chicago for my first wedding related celebration! 5 of my friends from college threw me a little bachelorette party downtown Chicago.... it was a blast! We went out to dinner at a sushi place (my fav) that was BYOB, so you bring your own alcohol there! I thought that was weird... but fun! Then we went out to a couple bars.... danced, drank, and when we got home ate too much.... and fell asleep. Very healthy evening. hahahahaha
I was excited to get home and see Jake since we hadnt seen each other in 4 days, and I was anxious to hear about his trip to Vegas. Sounds like they had a fun time and the last night they even ended up staying in... WEIRD! Jake told me how they were all drinking during the day and he was semi drunk when him and his other friend Danny that is also engaged decided to go get tattoos of their fiance's initials on their ribcages.... ahhhh! Thank god the tattoo man told them he couldnt do it since they were drunk (I guess it messes up the tattoo since your blood is thinner!) PHEW! I do think it is cute that he wanted my initials on him......... but would rather have him decide to do that when he is SOBER! hahahaha

Naked Grandmas
I just have to say I DO NOT understand when women my grandmas age are walking around in the womens locker room at the Y completely nude and just letting it all hang out.......... I understand if you are nude for a breif minute to dry off from your shower and change into your clothes but this is NOT what is happening!
This woman in her 60s (not to mention about 300 lbs) was completely nude and struck up a conversation with me while I was putting on my makeup in the mirror. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to run away but couldnt be rude so I kept talking to her.... after that she decided to slip on some underwear and go sit in the locker room lobby, watch some TV and brush her teeth topless..... PS. those boobs were bigger then my head so it was hard not to notice this lady!
Take the above picture, imagine that lady nude and try to not be disturbed, hard isnt it? I just dont get it.... I guess when you get older you lose some inhibitions...... haha

The bunny ranch
Jake is leaving this morning for Vegas. Boo. I just hope he behaves himself! "The Bunny Ranch" is a naughty place in Vegas that Jake keeps teasing me and saying he is going to..... he better not! Or guess what..... this girl isnt getting married next month! haha
No, I dont think that would ever happen.... but I know that his friends have been SO excited for planning him a bachelor party that this was the first thing they talked about after we got engaged, and all his friend fought over who got to plan it! psychos....... just bring him back alive, thats all I care about!
Wedding plans are driving me nutso right now, its all the little last minute detail crap and I am really nervous I am going to forget something. RARRR, been having more awful wedding dreams too. They ALWAYS consist of me forgetting to get my hair and makeup done and looking like crap and I am always at least 2 hours late............. I will FREAK OUT if am late.... other then that I think I will be pretty calm that day, BUT I have never been the bride before so I have no idea how I will react! I am sure I will be fine... done for now, talk at ya later!

Staying positive
Ok. So the fiance' has shot down my idea of quitting my job and making babies so I have figured that my only other alternative is to stay positive. SO that is what I am doing! I dont have much to do here at Riverfront right now, so my mom said to "make things to do". She is so smart....
So I am trying to come up with some new programs to implement out here, So far I dont have a lot but I am working on it! There are some interesting characters out here..... a mix of business suit wearing workers working out over their lunch break and questionable people which lead me to wonder why THEY are not at work??? Hmmmm....... oh yes and there is Jack... the INFAMOUS Jack! I was told to watch out for him because he is a complainer and was not surprised that he has been in my office at least twice every day since I started. Jack likes to complain about everything from the temperature of the water to the volume of the music. I think he is funny..... no one else does. Maybe I will change my mind in a couple months! haha
I do have a couple things to look forward to this week... Thursday another girls night with the Grimes crew (tastefully simple party at Karmen's.. woo hoo!) AND of course I am leaving for Chicago Saturday morning, meeting two of my best friends in Iowa City and driving the rest of the way with them. and of course celebrating my last month as a single lady with friends from college. I am the lightweight champion of the world when it comes to drinking so I am a little nervous, but I dont think my best friends will let me die! ha......... I have NO IDEA what they have in store for me! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH these are my crazy single friends, keep that in mind! I love them so much I wish we would get to see each other more!
Jake came home from his morning clients and made me breakfast this morning.... how nice! But then he was making fun of me all morning so he lost his points for the day. He leaves for Vegas tomorrow morning........ so I am going to take the oppurotunity to catch up on all laundry and cleaning while he is gone Thurs/Fri. OK this post just got real boring. I am done! Off to another exciting day in the life................ byeeeeeeeee

I miss Grimes!!!! :(
Good Morning everyone! Welcome to my "daily good" and start of my little blog. Sooo I started a new job yesterday and I was SO bored all day that I decided I needed somewhere to share my happiness, sadness, motivation, and boredom with the world. I no longer have access to facebook and other sites that I should have never been on at work in the first place so I need to direct my ADD somwhere else while I am here at work.
I just got transferred to the YMCA downtown, which is fun and new.... but not as fun as I thought it would be! I am missing my Grimes Y members even more then I thought I would and this sucks to be thrown into something completely different and away from my litte Grimes home. As of right now I have really no duties out here at Riverfront..... I spent the day yesterday cleaning my new office and throwing away all the old crap from the guy who was in here before (he must have had a problem with food in his teeth because I found close to a million toothpicks in random drawers of this desk. hmmmmm.) I also would like to complain about the fact that I have to wear REAL clothes now...... 2 days down and I am already HATING not being in my sweat pants and running shoes 24/7. BOO!
ALSO the WEIRDEST sites are blocked at this place! I cant even read my yahoo email! What the heck! So I went home yesterday kind of discouraged about the new job and decided to tell Jake (the Fiance') that I have decided to start making babies immediately and become a professional stay at home mom ASAP! I think it sounded like a great plan, he didnt really think so. haha
My wedding is quickly approaching.... 46 days I believe to be exact. I have my mini bachelorette party in Chicago this weekend being thrown by my Iowa Dance Team ALum best friends! (3 of which who are bridesmaids). Jake will be in Vegas this weekend doing his bachelor party thing... which makes me nervous... so I had to go somewhere too! I am more worried about him ending up in jail and not making it back home then anything! ..... haha their flight home is at 7am (GOOD LUCK TO THEM CATCHING IT!)
.... Did I mention I hate wearing REAL clothes.... I am so uncomfortable right now. AHHHHH
